OctoDogs

An easy way to make any food more exciting for the kids is to turn it into fun shapes or creatures!  You can do this with hot dogs easily by making them into octopuses!  Simple slice the hot dog in half from about halfway down, roll it, and repeat to give your hot dog a head and four dangling arms.  The kids will love roasting these little guys over the fire!

Pigs-in-a-Blanket

Classic and delicious, the pig-in-a-blanket is easy to do a the campground. Skewer your hot dog on a campfire cooking stick. Wrap the hot dog in Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls dough and secure with a toothpick. Wrap the pig-in-a-blanket in tin foil and roast over the fire for 10 minutes or until the cornbread coating is cooked through.

Popcorn Dogs

Make hot dogs fun and easy for the little ones by slicing them into bite-sized pieces. Skewer each popcorn dog on a toothpick and coat in Jiffy Cornbread Mix.  Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes or place in a skillet covered with tin foil and roast over the fire for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is cooked through.  You can change it up and make popcorn pigs-in-a-blanket with the Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls from the last recipe.

The simplest way to make a hot dog unique is what you put on top! Try something more exciting that ketchup, mustard, and relish!
